PLN #18

I saw an article on The weblogg-ed called Study: Young Kids Online about how the internet has great oppurtunites but also the risk is out there and how easy it is to acess the wrong information it is a preety good article.

Dear Mr. Richardson,
I found this article interesting on how companies suck kids into products through advertisement. I really think the internet is becoming to "adultish" for young kids. They have to access to MySpace or Facebook and other communicating sites which have predators on them and with that these websites have ads that suck kids into it and steal information. Advertisers reach out for children because they are more prone to fall for a trick. A little example is websites is the ads that say for example, “break a mailbox and get 10 free ringtones”. These are temping for kids to try and they are fake and bad. I agree when you say the internet provides a good chance for kids to learn but the risk the internet provides is there to. Good article!

Brandon, you had a good presentation. You did well explaining your articles and making good eye contact. Good job.

Brandon, amazing presentation. You didn't rely on your notes as much this time around. I don't really have anything that you need to work on. Just make sure to eliminate filler words like "um" and "like" from your vocabulary. Great job!

Good presentation. Good eye contact and good job on speaking loudly and clearly. Next time just try to add a little more detail in your presentation. Good job overall though

You did a pretty good job at looking at the audience and telling the audience your opinion. I just think that you should have told what the posts that you picked were about. Good job.

Brandon,
O thought you did a pretty good job. make sure you speak clearly and know exactly what you're going to say before you say it. You seemed to pause and not really know what to say next a couple of times. So speak clearly so your audience can understand and follow you.

Brandon, you did a good job on your presentation. You had really good eye contact but at times you spoke really quiet. Besides that you did a great job.

Brandon! I don't think children should be able to have Myspaces, you didn't exactly say that but that's where msot of the adds are. I think that cell phones should not be used in classes instead of laptops. Because some people don't even have phones. I think laptops are good. But everything can be used the wrong way. Great job!

Brandon, you did a good job on giving good detail and good eye contact. You said "like" a few times so try not to do that and keep your presenation going becuase you would also kind of seem to get lost in what you were saying. Overall great job!
