PLN #13

I was looking at the cool cat teacher blog and i came across a very interesting article that brings up a lot of thought. The article is about one of the authors friends and when he was younger he got in an accident that almost ruined his life he lost both of his legs. He ran a Iron man triathlon event. This brings up a very big question if he can do it what your excuse for not doing something. Well one thing is if you get hurt you have more motivation to do something, if your not at a lower state of living you take a lot of stuff for granted. Also consider this when your faced with a challenge do you try to overcome it or just live with it? Excuses are just ways to change the way you want to do something because your afraid. When this is mentioned

"The legacy of Scott is not whether he does another Ironman or 500
more," said Mike Lenhart, Rigsby's training partner and founder of
another organization like his, Getting2Tri. "[His legacy] is if there
are a dozen or so other physically challenged individuals who do a 5K
run or do an international distance triathlon or even an Ironman, and
say the reason they did this is because they saw Scott Rigsby do it."

This guy influenced others they were afraid to overcome running this but they succuced this guy overcame something huge an iron man triathlon without two legs

You were loud and clear. But it wasnt to smart when you said "everyone is pretty pissed about this". Ms. Smith didnt look to happy. You need to expand a little more on you plns. Good job.

Brandon, you did a good job presenting. You kinda droned off in some parts but good job. You are very non-selfish sharing all this information with me. You did a good job looking at your audience.

Brandon, You did a good job in your presentation. Maybe speak a little bit clearer and smother. Maybe also try not to look at your notes as much. Good Job!

Brandon, you did great explaining the summaries of your articles, maybe next time try relating them to yourself and share your opinions. The article about the duck is so sad!! Good job!

Brandon! You did a good job on speaking clearly and loudly. Try to look up a little more. Ummm wow that duck story is pretty bad and gross, but you went into good detail and related it to the world. Try and maybe relate these things to yourself and class, though that may be kind of hard to do, because I hope you haven't hurt a duck, and you aren't indian. hehe.

Good job on your presentation. I couldn't even tell you were nervous, you spoke loud and clear. Not a single filler word! I felt sort of sick when you talked about the duck that had it's head ripped off, but you still did really well. I know it's really hard, but try not to mess with your pockets and hoodie, it is a little distraction. Other than that, great job!

Brandon! Good job on talking about your articles. I agree that we need to make everyone happy. I also think think that that man should go to jail for a long time because thats so mean! I think its cool that another man who went to jail for selling the tickets had to give the tickets to the boys and girls club. Good job!
